Training Services

Our methods are a reflection of our professional interests. Training can be offered entirely online using our blended training modules that balance training and practice or on-site if you have a number of employees that require training. We employ a mentorship based, hands on model for our training services - both online and on-site. All training plans include online coaching sessions so we can help you immediately apply the skills you’ve learned to projects in your company for immediate impact.

We will work directly with you to create a process improvement training plan that best fits the needs of your company. Whether you simply want individual training for yourself or require a training solution for your entire team we’ll help you develop a plan to get it done.

The effectiveness of training services can be enhanced even further by coupling them with supplemental consulting services from Systems Scholar, allowing us to take an even deeper dive in to your process improvement efforts by working right along side and providing feedback to your systems engineers. In addition to helping you with your consulting needs, we can coach and mentor your up and coming systems improvement specialists as they come up the learning curve - making them even more effective faster!

Work Analysis

A fundamental understanding of Work Analysis tools and methods allows the systems engineer to objectively measure the critical parameters of a process - both quantitatively and qualitatively. The vast majority of work systems in industry have a human, manual component to them. Our workshops in Work Analysis will give you the skills you need to measure, analyze and redesign manual work and the work environment. Being able to accurately characterize your existing processes and then validate the efficacy of improvements made is key to achieving optimal outcomes. Current Work Analysis training programs offered include:

  • Work Analysis Methods Certification

  • Work Analysis Short Courses on a Variety of Topics

Human Factors

The human factor is often overlooked in system design. The system should be designed to fit the operator, not the other way around! Poor fit between the worker and system can increase the risk inefficiency, human error and injury. Our workshops in Human Factors examine the human-system interface in the workplace and its influence on productivity, quality and safety. Topics cover both the physical (ergonomics, environment, physiology, biomechanics) and cognitive (information processing, cognition, decision making, situation awareness) sides of human factors in system design. Current Human Factors training programs offered include:

  • Human Factors Design Certification

  • Human Factors Short Courses on a Variety of Topics
